Material & Structure

Printed Film starts with a base packaging film — Cellophane, OPP, BOPP, CPP, or metalized — onto which your artwork, logo, and product information are printed in up to 8 colors. The base material, thickness, and structure are chosen to match how the pack will be sealed, handled, and shipped, not just how the design will look.

When extra strength or protection is needed on top of the print, a second film is laminated to the printed layer, combining clear, durable printing with better resistance to tearing, moisture, and air. Width, length, and thickness are all produced to order to match your packaging line and product.

Film Materials & How They Differ

Printed film isn't one material — the base film and structure you choose change how the print looks, how well the pack seals, and how it holds up in transport. Here's how the main options compare.

Cellophane

A classic, naturally based film that takes print well and suits straightforward food and retail packaging.

OPP / BOPP

Gives a clear, well-formed appearance and is the most common choice when print clarity and a clean look matter most.

CPP

A practical base film for specific sealing methods, chosen when the pack's seal type calls for it.

Metalized

Adds a more premium, reflective appearance or an extra layer of protection against light and moisture.

Laminate (Multi-Layer)

Combines a printed layer with a second film for both strong print quality and better mechanical performance.

How We Produce Printed Film

Producing printed film well comes down to two things: choosing the right base film and structure for the product, and making sure production matches the design you approved. Here's the process we follow.

  1. 01

    Design & Color Proof Approval

Your artwork, logo, and color specification are reviewed and a proof is approved before production starts, so the final roll matches what you expect.

  2. 02

    Film & Structure Selection

The base material — Cellophane, OPP, BOPP, CPP, or metalized — and structure, including whether to laminate, are matched to your product, seal type, and packaging machine.

  3. 03

Printing in Up to 8 Colors

The approved design is printed onto the base film in up to 8 colors, with lamination added afterward when extra strength or protection is needed.

  4. 04

    Quality Check, Cutting & Delivery

Each roll is checked for print clarity and color consistency, then cut to your width and length and prepared so it feeds smoothly on your machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Printing is available up to 8 colors, set to match your design. Many orders use a smaller, standard color count depending on the artwork.

Through a color and design proof that's approved before production starts. This step exists specifically so the final printed roll matches what you approved, not just what looks right on a screen or paper print.

Once we know your machine type and the direction the roll needs to unwind, the roll is prepared to match — keeping speed, tension, and feeding consistent on your line.

It depends on the product, the seal type, and the appearance you want. OPP and BOPP are common for a clear, well-formed look, while metalized or laminate structures are useful when you need extra protection or a more premium appearance.

They're fully custom, produced to match your specific packaging line and product so the roll runs efficiently and the result comes out clean.
